Millie's Story

Meet Milano - lovingly called Millie

Found on the opening day of the Winter Olympics, Millie clearly took the spirit of the games to heart.

She's still learning that it's okay for human hands to reach toward her unexpectedly, but her progress has been steady and encouraging. She's begun exploring more rooms around the house, showing growing curiosity and confidence.
She loves sleeping on her foster's bed next to the calm gray cat who helps her feel safe. When the playful orange cat gets going, Millie watches and then joins in. She'll stroll right past the family dog and comes running as soon as she hears the treat bag.
Before meals, Millie politely requests a proper amount of attention (she has standards, after all). Afterward, she goes through her meticulous grooming routine to keep herself perfectly polished-cleanliness is clearly her sport.
She enjoys wand toys and will occasionally bat around crinkly or rolling toys like a tiny athlete in training. In the afternoons and evenings, she especially loves leaning against her human for a cozy nap. She's not quite a lap cat yet, but the potential is definitely there-consider it a future medal event.

If you believe the best victories come from patience, love, and small, brave steps forward, Millie just might be your perfect companion.

Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.
