Millie's Story

Meet Milano - Millie for short!

Named after the Winter Olympics opening day when she was found, this petite girl is training for her biggest event yet: learning to trust again. And every day, she's getting braver.
Millie is oh-so-sweet. She'll chirp and gently headbutt for attention (or snacks!), then sometimes second-guess herself and take a small step back. She will tap your leg like she wants to be a lap cat... then choosing to lie right beside you instead. It's her quiet way of trying.

She keeps a spotless litter box and always washes her dainty face and fluffy mane after meals - a proper little lady. She loves having a safe spot to observe from before joining in. She's shown interest in calm cats and may benefit from a confident feline friend. Dogs and sudden movements make her nervous and she may swat - a quiet home would be ideal.
Millie prefers not to be picked up yet and will need a patient adopter who lets her set the pace. The bond you build with her won't be rushed, it will be earned, making it all the more special.

If you believe in gentle progress, soft chirps, and watching love slowly win, Millie might be your gold medal girl.

Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.
