Millie's Story

Millie is a 7 year old short-haired tuxedo with some pretty unique skills. If you ask her to “Give Me 5” she will give you her paw. If you smack a ball to her, she will smack it back – until, like most cats, she loses interest in the games humans want to play and hides the ball. Then one day you will turn around and find 12 balls on the floor!
Millie has been very loved since her guardian took her in as a young cat. But now that guardian can no longer care for her so she needs a new home.
Millie is very independent but does like to sleep on the bed with her person. She has a fuzzy blanket she is very fond of. She is not a lap cat but does like affection – especially neck and head scratches. She also enjoys having a place to herself to go to – her guardian had a cat bed set up in a closet for her.
She is an indoor-only cat who is used to having her person all to herself so she needs to be an only animal. She has not been around children.
Millie has been in boarding at Carmel Holistic Veterinary Clinic for about 5 months after her guardian became ill. Her guardian hoped she’d get better and be able to bring her beloved cat home, but now has decided that Millie deserves to find a new home.
“I have to give her her freedom,” said her guardian as she choked back tears. “It’s that saying, ‘If you love someone you have to set them free.’ She is my life, but she deserves more.”
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
