Miles's Story

Miles is a distinguished older gentleman with a soft orange coat and an even softer heart — but don’t let the distinguished part fool you, this guy still has a playful, silly side that’s sure to keep you smiling! This sweet boy is a certified purr machine—turn on the pets, and he’ll happily hum away, soaking up every bit of love. He’s also quite the conversationalist, never shy about sharing his thoughts with a chirp or a meow. Miles adores spending time with his people, whether that means lounging nearby, keeping you company, leaning in for extra affection, or batting around a toy when the mood strikes. Rescued from life on the streets, Miles has fully embraced the comforts of indoor living and shows his gratitude every day with his gentle, easygoing nature. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and would be a great companion in a multi-cat home. He would be fine as a solo cat as well - that way he gets all the attention 🧡. While he’s still figuring out his dog foster siblings, he’s making steady progress and just needs a little patience as he adjusts. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will fill your home with warmth, laughter, and plenty of purrs (and conversation!), Miles is your guy.
Miles is FIV+ but currently lives with FIV- cats with no issues.

https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoptable-pets

Familiar Hearts Animal Society's Adoption Policy
We always have potential adopters fill out our adoption application first so we can first vet them and make sure we approve of them as adopters before then inviting them to meet the animal(s) they are interested in. We feel this not only saves time for our fosters, it helps us get to know the applicant better and better be able to match them with the potential pet that is best for them. We always make sure everyone has a lot of time to deeply consider the adoption before finalizing it. The adoption is considered finalized after the adoption contract is reviewed and signed and the fee is paid. We then tranfer all the vet records and microchip information to the new family. We also offer behavioral support before and after adoption and one free training session with our dog trainer for dog adopters.
