Mildew's Story

Meet Mildew, a gentle and sweet kitty with a heart full of love once she feels comfortable in her surroundings. She may be a little shy at first, but with patience and kindness she blossoms into a wonderful companion. Mildew enjoys lounging by your side on the couch, keeping you company while you relax. With her easygoing, medium energy levels, she’s the perfect mix of playful and calm—an ideal match for a cozy home.

Mildew received her name because when she was first rescued, she suffered from a skin condition called pemphigus, which made her coat very crusty. While this is a lifelong autoimmune condition, at this time she is completely asymptomatic. If she has flare ups, they can easily be managed by a course of antibiotics and steroids.

Mildew is about 1 year old, negative for FIV/FELV, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed.

Mildew may go to a home with or without another cat.

To apply please fill our our application here: https://form.jotform.com/202927809015052

Kittens too young to be spayed/neutered and still needing boosters on vaccines will be arranged by the rescue once old enough. Our adoption fee is $175 which goes towards the above vetting and allows us to continue rescuing new cats. All kittens under 6 months old must be adopted with another kitten unless you have a young playful cat at home. Applicants must be 18+. The person applying must be the primary caretaker off the cats/kittens, we do not accept applications for kittens as gifts. Please note we are a Brooklyn, NY based rescue. Applicants must live in, or near NYC.
