Meet Milagra

*** Milagra is at our Petsmart Encinitas adoption center. ***

White/gray/apricot dilute calico, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 6/1/14, #18375

Cats: good w/ respectful cats
Dogs: unknown
Children: unknown

Milagra came from a small colony of cats in National City. When her whole family were trapped and taken away, poor Milagra was left behind and all alone! It was a miracle that her rescuer discovered her and took her in (hence the name Milagra meaning "miracle"), and she later reached out to The Rescue House on this sweet kitty's behalf so she can find a forever home.

Milagra is a beauty of a cat: it looks like Picasso painted her! Thankful for the new life, she relishes the simple things such as spending quality time with her humans and plenty of playtime. Don't be misled by her age: Milagra loooves to play and is full of energy. She especially likes it when you bring out an interactive wand or the laser pointer, and also enjoys scratching posts, jingle balls, and toy mice. While she doesn't want them jumping on her, Milagra can get captivated when watching silly kittens with their zoomies (she finds them very intriguing) and is comfortable doing side-side play so long as her personal space boundaries are respected. Milagra enjoys pets and attention from people, too, and will head butt you to show her affection. As with kittens, she asks you to respect when she's had enough for now and will give a little squeaky sound when she's ready to move on to a different activity, but she'll be back later for more!

Milagra is comfortable with other cats who let her direct the interactions; she'd rather not live with a cat who wants to be an alpha or who would invade her personal space too much, but she enjoys the companionship and comradery when there's enough space for all. We don't know her thoughts on dogs. Milagra would rather not live with children who don't understand her cues, though she would likely be fine with gentle and mindful older kids. She needs some adjustment time when she arrives in a new space and thrives when interacting with her known people.

Milagra is ready to shine! Are you ready to welcome this wonderful kitty companion?
