Mikey's Story

Mikey is a young orange cat who spent his whole life with one person before coming to us. The shelter was overwhelming for him and he was scared, shut down, and clearly not coping, so we moved him into a foster home where he could decompress.

Mikey doesn't trust easily, and it takes time and patience to build a relationship with him. But once he starts to feel safe, you'll see a completely different side to him. A side that is playful, curious, and full of personality. With that being said, Mikey does prefer affection on his terms, when he is feeling up for it and does not like to be approached or picked up when he is not full comfortable.

He's still learning how to be brave in new situations, but with someone calm and consistent, Mikey has a lot to give. He'll thrive in a home where his boundaries are respected and his quirks are understood. If you're willing to earn his trust, you'll get to see the best parts of who he really is.

If you are interested in adopting Mikey, please contact us at 508-586-2053 or email info@apcsm.org. Mikey is currently in a foster home so we can make arrangements to meet at the APCSM.
