Mika 's Story

Mika (pronounced Mee-Kuh) is a sweet, resilient young cat who is ready to trade her adventurous stray days for a forever home filled with love and play.

At a little over a year old, this mighty little girl still carries plenty of bouncy kitten energy. You'll often catch her zooming up and down the stairs, pouncing on her favorite wand toys with impressive enthusiasm, and then sweetly accepting her well-earned treats while purring contentedly. When she's ready to settle, she melts for gentle belly rubs and soft strokes along her back.

Mika is endlessly curious and playful — she has a habit of turning up in the funniest hiding spots around the house, as if she's inviting you to join her in a game of hide-and-seek. She's also quite the talker and would love nothing more than to greet you at the door with chatty meows, eager to hear all about your day.

This affectionate and gentle soul was sadly abandoned but was luckily discovered by a kind neighbor and quickly warmed up to indoor life. She thrives on social interaction and dedicated playtime, making her a wonderful companion for someone who can give her plenty of attention.

If there are kids in the home, older children (10+) would be ideal. She gets along well with smaller, calmer dogs, and with a slow, thoughtful introduction, she could potentially adjust to feline housemates too.

Mika has already brought so much joy and laughter to her foster home — now she's hoping to do the same for you!

Mika is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. You can meet her in person at the Petsmart Store at 3520 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo CA.
