Midnight's Story

Midnight is a big, beautiful, sleek cat. He's also sweet and generally agreeable. He's very strong and athletic, so requires exercise. He's very food motivated and loves his food and treats. He likes catnip.

He's had three homes now, rescued initially as a feral kitten. He had to be separated from his sibling at his first home because of developing behavioural problems: ‘inappropriate urination' - peeing outside of his box. Since he's been with a foster for many months, and on daily anti-anxiety medication, he's become calm, easy-going, and hasn't had an ‘accident' for some time now.

He loves being brushed and getting pets around neck, head and tummy. He's become more affectionate as he's become more comfortable in his newer environment: he rubs against your legs, especially when you have food. He will tolerate some cuddling, but that will grow in time with a loving and affectionate new caregiver. He likes to play with toys, string, and with the sheets when the bed is being made. He likes to go out on a leash, but only in fenced in and secure areas, because he can break free if he sees a squirrel.

He needs a good, loving long term home, where he can finally settle in and feel comfortable and secure. Midnight would do best as the only cat in the home.

Midnight had an extensive dental in 2025 and had most of his teeth removed. Midnight also has a heart murmur, but his cardiac ultrasound showed no abnormalities so no follow-ups or treatment are required. He is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
