Midge's Story
Meet Midge, the spunkiest little kitten that is succeeding against the odds!

Midge's cat family were unfortunately lost to coyotes and as the sole survivor she was brought to us for a foster parent to take care of.

While in foster care, Midge continued to struggle. Gaining weight slowly and two episodes of pneumonia lead to several vet visits and diagnostic tests.

Midge has been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, where part of her stomach slides up through the diaphragm into her chest cavity.

Her dedicated foster parent has managed her condition with frequent small meals of canned food only and raised dishes. This will be a long term need for Midge.

If you have a space for a special needs cat, visit https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDHS/Cat to fill out an application!
