Miata's Story

Miata is a young black-and-white male domestic shorthair who came into our care in October 2025, and made quite the first impression! Someone arrived hoping to surrender him, but Miata slipped away in the parking lot before staff could secure him. After an extensive search turned up nothing, everyone feared he'd vanished for good... until the next day. A staff member was startled to discover a tiny stowaway hiding inside her car engine! After nearly two hours of patient coaxing, Miata finally emerged, completely unharmed. Because of his adventurous hiding spot, he earned the name Miata. Miata is a very shy boy who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. He'll do best in a calm, patient home where he can taking things at his own pace and build trust slowly. With time, gentle handling, and lots of understanding, this sweet survivor has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

His adoption fee is $100 and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID.

To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/.
