Mia's Story

COVID19 UPDATE 1: NO out-of-state adoptions. 2: We do not have a shelter, therefore we are doing foster-to-adopt where once your application is approved, you can pick up your cat in a safe exchange outside (cat in carrier) and you will foster the cat for two weeks. At the end of that period, if you want to move forward we finalize the adoption.

We are doing this because we can't have adopters come into our home to meet our foster cats.

We're looking for a very special home for a sweet, but abused cat. Mia lived outdoors and was pregnant when we rescued her. She was a terrific mom and her kittens are all adopted. Sadly, Mia is not very trusting of humans, but is also not aggressive with them, either. Our dream is to find an experienced cat-parent who is ok with having a gorgeous cat who may never be a lap-cat. She's not keen on being petted. It's unlikely she will ever be more than a cute companion you enjoy from afar, though she is very treat motivated so in the right home, Mia may improve. Mia needs love and patience and a quiet home. She gets along great with other cats.

We realize it's asking for the moon, but...if you think you're the home for this pretty lady, we're dropping her adoption fee to FREE to any approved home. Mia is about 8 years old (as of 2022Qu) and fully vetted. Mia's even had a dental cleaning (in early 2020).

If you'd like to know more about Mia, visit our web site at http://www.kittenassociates.org where you can fill out a Pre-Adoption Application you'll find on our Adopt Page.
