Merv Millar-Samos's Story

Hi, my name is Merv and I’m an adorable boy born on 7/8/25. I live in my foster home with my best foster friend KeeKee!

The first thing you may ask about me is “hey, is he a pirate?” And the answer to that is no! I’m far too sweet to be a pirate! However like some pirates, I do have one eye. I came into foster care with a badly damaged right eye and after a successful surgery in October, I’m thriving. I do not expect any future issues and I don't even miss that eye!

I’m the sweetest little black cat you’ll meet, and I love to play play play! My favorite toys are anything in a string and I love to hunt and then run away with my pray, you’ll notice that in one of my photos! Bird toys, mouse toys, and anything else I can attack, beware!

I’m not just a solo player though, I love wrestling and playing with my foster friend KeeKee and often times won’t stop until we’re totally pooped out. Playing with him is one of my favorite actives and I would love to go to a home with him or another cat. While I am a crazy kitten, I love snuggling so much and love being held by my foster parents. There’s nothing better than falling asleep on their lap or arm, both of which I do quite a lot!

My foster parents tell me that I’ve been a very well behaved kitten and that I’m great at using the little box and have had no issues there! Wherever I end up, I’m going to be so happy and be a fantastic addition to my forever home!

CFFR is an all-foster-based feline rescue, and that means all of our kittens and cats are safe and warm in foster homes at all times. If you see a kitten or cat you are interested in, submit an online adoption application by copying and pasting this link: https://www.coloradofelinefosterrescue.org/applications-availability, into your browser, then clicking the "APPLY NOW" button. (You may also apply to pre-qualify to adopt while you're waiting to find your purrfect companion.) Once your application is received, an adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss your application either by phone, email or text. When your application is approved, the foster parent of the kitten or cat you are interested in will reach out to you to set up a virtual or in-person visit. If after that meeting, you and the foster parent agree it's a match, the foster parent will let us know, and you will pay your adoption fee online and schedule a time to pick up your new family member (or members!). Paperwork is completed via email. If you have a question at any time during the adoption process, feel free to email us at info@coloradofelinefosterrescue.org. Our adoption fees can be found on our website, www.coloradofelinefosterrescue.org All kittens/cats are vaccinated, dewormed, neutered/spayed and microchipped prior to adoption.
