Merry's Story

Merry is a love monkey. That's the bottom line. She is in love with love and will happily lay like a baby in your arms, purring so loudly that the neighbors might hear. She seems to follow the 10,000 Kisses A Day philosophy of life, meaning she is all in with her people. (Click on her video to see her in action.) She's also super athletic and playful, with exceptional balance and leaping ability. Essentially, she's the sporty model.

Everything is new and exciting, and she wants to try all of it at once. Merry came to us from a feral mother, one who had tried her best to make her kittens feral too. She felt her first pet and decided that was not the life for her, and is entirely domestic. She is just about the cutest thing ever. She looks black in dim light, but shines deep brown and black in the light. Her fur is soft and very sleek and she has the cutest big ears. When you look at her straight on, between her huge ears and enormous eyes, there's the tiniest ridge of fur on her head that sticks up, making her look a bit like a gremlin.

Merry loves to play with toys of any kind. Automatic ones, laser toys, little mice, birds that squeack...you name it. She hasn't met a toy she didn't like. She's also an exceptionally tidy little girl. There are no kitten messes like spilled water or food with this girl. She would love to be adopted with one of her siblings, but she also tries very hard to make friends with any cat that crosses her path, so if there's a friendly and welcoming cat already in the home, she would probably be thrilled with that too. She does like to snuggle up to another cat when she sleeps.
