Merida's Story
Who doesn't love a wobbly baby!!!

This precious little bean is Merida. She is 8 weeks old and smarter and tougher than most.

She had a rough start to life, but she has the fire to not just survive, but thrive!

She was living as a barn cat when an amazing woman saw that she wasn't as mobile as the other kittens and scooped her up! She's a "wobbly" kitten. Initially, we thought it was a neurological problem, but the vet thinks she sustained a spinal injury when she was younger. The injury healed on its own just leaving her a bit unsteady on her feet. With this condition, she is a special-needs cat.

Her perseverance is admirable! She is so smart!! She lets her foster know when she is hungry and needs to go potty. She just needs a little help getting into the litter box and some support so she doesn't fall while going potty.

She had her first vaccine on 6/26/26. She doesn't yet weigh enough for her rabies vaccine. Only 1 more pound to go! With her healthy appetite, we're sure she'll be big enough to be fully vetted soon! She won't be officially ready to be adopted until she's fully vetted.

Her favorite pastime is snuggling up to her favorite person/dog/cat by propping herself up on any part of them she can. She also enjoys playing with the other cats' tails.

If you are interested (and able to provide her the support she needs) in adding sweet Merida to your family apply at https://www.purple-paws.org/pets-for-adoption-kansas/application.html Her adoption fee is $120.
