Meredith is exceptionally affectionate and her favorite thing to do is be pet. She also loves to play and can often be found sitting beside her tunnel toy waiting for someone to play with her. She also enjoys wand and feather toys!<br/><br/>Meredith, born in December 2018, was found by a couple while they were stationed in Okinawa, Japan. A stray on death's door and grieving the loss of a litter of kittens that had been killed by a car, the couple couldn't bring themselves to leave her behind; they nursed her back to health and made her part of their family. However, due to an allergy that has worsened over time, her family made the difficult decision to rehome her so that she can continue to get the attention and love she deserves.<br/><br/>Although Meredith did not live with other cats in her previous home, we suspect she would do well with another cat that shares her calm, gentle temperament. She does great with children, too. However, before she was rescued, Meredith was attacked by a dog and remains fearful of them, so she must be adopted into a dog-free home. <br/><br/>Her family affectionately called her "Goofy Mere" because of her playful personality and the adorable way her tongue sometimes peeks out when she's relaxed. Since Meredith no longer has teeth, her tongue occasionally slips out, giving her an extra dose of charm! <br/><br/>Meredith is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She takes a daily lysine supplement mixed into Gerber Beef & Gravy baby food; she would also likely enjoy it mixed in with a Churu treat. Since she is toothless she is on a wet-food only diet. However, she still loves Temptations kitty treats!
