Mercedes's Story
Meet Mercedes! Don't worry, this girl isn't as bougie as her namesake. She is actually more of a tomboy. She's a tough girl - she came to us with a big botfly larvae in her neck, but was still ready to put up a fight when we first picked her up. Once her pain was gone, though, she calmed down and let us give her some scritches.

Mercedes bounced back quickly, and let us know she was ready to run around and play. We put her in with some older kittens, two of whom really liked to wrestle and teach the newbies manners. Mercedes stood up to them like a champ, and rolled with every punch.

Mercedes is a confident, playful kitten. She isn't so keen on human affection, but will tolerate it when she's tuckered out or feeling needy. She is a good friend to other cats and kittens, although she will keep them on their toes! She's great fun to watch play and run around. She is super curious and nosy, and will explore every nook and cranny of your home. She loves dangling string toys, and will launch herself from the top of her condo to play with them. She will chase anything that moves.

Mercedes does well with other cats and kittens. We think she would be okay with older children - she is very clear when she's not in the mood to be held, so younger children would probably not be a good idea. She has not been tested with dogs.

Mercedes is estimated to be 5 months old as of October 2025. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $53.

If you are interested in adopting this particular dog or puppy, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
