My story began in the woods, where I was found all alone, hungry and afraid. Thankfully, Rose's Rescue volunteers scooped me up and brought me to safety. Now I’m in an amazing foster home and I've learned what it means to feel loved!<br/><br/>At first, I was shy and preferred to watch the other foster kittens play from my hiding spot. But with patience, lots of yummy pate, and gentle care, I really blossomed. I’ve learned that being petted and cuddled feels pretty wonderful, and that I can purr! These days, I even meow for my foster mom when I want treats or attention. She loves when I snuggle into her lap and she scratches my little ear tufts.<br/><br/>I love other cats and would be so happy to have a feline friend in my new home. I’m also much braver than I used to be. I adore attention and will quickly show you my sweet and playful side. If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle guy, I’m ready to MELt into your arms forever!<br/><br/>Melvin's adoption fee of $75 includes negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines, de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip.
