You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.<br/>Mellow is a very sweet 10 year old Deaf kitty. Mellow is a stunningly beautiful white cat with blue eyes and is deaf. Mellow has never heard the sweet words of anyone but she has a loud meow she will gladly greet her foster Mom with. She will do best in a home as a single pet. She will sit close to you. She wants so much to be loved but she doesn’t trust easily. It takes time for her to feel comfortable.<br/><br/>When Mellow is adopted it will be hard for her to adjust to a new home but after time and a loving person she will adjust. Once she bonds with a new person she will follow you everywhere prancing behind you. It will make your heart melt watching her. She will sit by you and rub against you. She’ll want you to pet her. She has beautiful fur and enjoys being brushed. She will love you. That special person is out there somewhere. The one willing to be patient and give Mellow a change and a forever home, where she can finally find peace and the love she so very much longs for and deserves.<br/><br/>Best in home with experienced cat person, no young children, no active home where doors might be left open as she must be indoor only. If she ever got out she can't hear her name, cars, wildlife or anything approaching her. The bright side is she is not afraid of a vacuum.<br/><br/>Foster mom has attempted to take her to 3 vets, no one can get her out of a carrier. She would have to be sedated for vet visits.<br/><br/>She does not tolerate having her nails trimmed & requires a tall carpeted scratcher & a few cardboard or other scratchers throughout the house.<br/><br/>She will not go in any rooms that have a TV that is on as she is terrified of them.<br/><br/>She meows loudly when looking for her foster mom as she can't hear herself. She will follow her around the house.<br/><br/>She will tolerate soft brushing, ear cleaning & pilling with a little effort and caution. An experienced cat owner will know when she has had enough brushing & stop before she lashes out. She's not deliberately mean but she is set in her ways.<br/><br/>She is not a lap cat but will snuggle right up to you on the bed & stay in one spot all night sleeping with you.<br/><br/>She is fussy & eats only one canned food & a special dry food diet. She likes chicken, turkey, salmon & a few other fish that her foster mom gives her from time to time.<br/><br/>She doesn't play with any toys but will find a leaf on the floor or a string or qtip & play with that. She will chase the laser beam from the toy her foster mom got her. She enjoys laying in the sunlight coming into the house through a window & she will chase sunbeams on the floor.<br/><br/>She is accustomed to the breeze litter box system.<br/>She hides under the covers, in closets or in any cabinet low enough for her to open the door so they should be child proofed to make sure there is nothing inside that could hurt her.<br/><br/>2/18/26 9:40 PM
