Meadow's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meadow is a very special soul. She had her babies with us, and she has raised them well. Some of our cats have trauma from frightening things they may have seen or experienced before being rescued, and Meadow can startle a bit easily. However, while such cats are often fairly shy, Meadow really is not. After a very brief (a second) assessment of who you are, she is quite affectionate. She loves to rub her face into hands! Her life has been a bit unpredictable, from outdoor conditions, moving through different sectors of the rescue, etc., but once she has a home and a family that she knows, she will doubtless open up even more.

Meadow does test positive for FIV. This retrovirus just means a lower immune system, and cats with it can have the same average lifespan as cats without it. Her babies test negative, and the virus is not easily spread--mainly through deep bite wounds, and in females, usually during mating. We cannot envision Meadow ever biting another cat to pass the virus. All she needs is good food, an indoor home, and quality wellness care, the same as any other Catsnap cat! Would you be interested in adding a gentle, beautiful Meadow to your life?

Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!

If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.

Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.

All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:

Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus
Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age)
Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment
Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions
Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
