McCartney's Story

McCartney was brought to the shelter after he was found as an injured stray. He had several bite wounds on two of his legs that were infected. Luckily, he was able to fully heal up with some medicine and plenty of love from staff! McCartney is about 3 years old. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up as soon as you start petting on him. He is also FIV positive. Cats with FIV still live out normal, healthy lives, but they do have a weaker immune system and must live as an only cat or with other FIV+ cats. McCartney seems like he would do well in a home with other animals and children. He hopes a loving family finds him as soon as possible!

Adopting a pet though us is a pretty rewarding and an easy process! Once you find the pet that you have been looking for, then you fill out an adoption application (either online on our website, www.adoptourstrays.com, or in person here at the shelter).  Once an application is approved, we then send the pet home.  If the pet still needs to be fixed, we set up an appointment with you to bring the animal back to our shelter for the surgery. Our adoption fees:  Dogs: $175.00 Puppies: $225.00 Cats: $50.00 Kittens: $75.00   Adoption Fees Include the following: Spay/Neuter Appropriate Vaccinations Deworming Treatment and Flea Preventative FeLV and FIV Testing Heartworm Testing 1 Year Rabies Vaccination Medications if needed   *Puppies & Kittens 6 months or a year
