Mayor's Story
Submit your application here: www.passportanimalrescue.org/app

Mayor has an interesting story. He's a lovable guy who wants ALLLL the pets you have to give. He will probably be fine with other cats, and cat-friendly dogs. He came from outside where he'd been fending for himself for years - always sounding "snotty". He hopped in our truck while we were TNRing other cats in the neighborhood - his way of asking for help. Turns out he had a giant polyp blocking his airway. It's been removed and he's 100% these days.

Mayor is positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Fortunately, most cats with FIV live long, healthy lives. FIV is NOT contagious to people or dogs, and it’s okay for FIV positive kitties to live with FIV negative kitties. We do not recommend that FIV positive cats be allowed outside, both to avoid illness and to prevent spread to other cats. Like any other kitty, he should be taken to your family veterinarian once a year for a general check-up. No routine medication or any other specialized care is needed. More info: https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/fiv-cats-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-faqs..

All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip.

We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.
