NJ - Let's welcome Maya to our rescue!<br/>Maya is a gorgeous young girl at only 1 1/2 years old. She was adopted from the NYACC foster program at only 11 weeks old by a college student. He brought her home after the semesters ended and the family fell in love. Unfortunately one of the family members fell very ill and after many tests and trying everything possible - it was decided by his doctor he could not live in a home with a cat. <br/>So Maya was living the REALLY good life and her family is very sad that she must go to a new home.<br/>She has never lived with other cats and dogs, so being in foster is a totally new experience for her. Our hope is she will find her own new family soon. <br/>She is a very well behaved girl, loves to be brushed and will sit with you and watch TV, even help if you work from home! She loves her Churro's as treats. She's beyond the krazy kitten stage enjoys playing once comfortable. Since her world is a bit turned upside down, she will need a little time to decompress and accept her new situation. She may be shy at first but once confident she belongs is a very loving, attentive young lady.
