Maya's Story

Maya was wandering the streets of East New York when she came across a community member and followed her all the way to her apartment. She seemed to have either been lost or hungry and she also had a short tail that we soon learned had a necrotic tip.

We thought she belonged to someone and asked neighbors, printed some flyers, checked websites for missing cats with her description, to no avail. She was not microchipped either, so we could only thing that this adorable and friendly girl had no people looking for her. We brought her indoors and have been caring for her since then.

Maya is around 10 months old and is very sweet and curious. She is house trained, knows how to use the litter box, and prefers wet food over dry. Maya has now gotten more comfortable around the resident dog and cat in her foster home. She would do best in a home with no other pets or low energy resident pets.

Maya is super chill and often is lounging around. She occasionally plays with a few toys. Maya is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. She is now ready to find her forever home!
