May's Story

May came to us from the mean streets. She was trapped by a TNR (trap, neuter, return) group as a kitten already pregnant at 4 1/2 months old. Even though she was obviously friendly, she was returned to the street all by herself. She wandered to the porch of a good samaritan who realized the almost hairless, starving little cat would not survive outside. When May came to us she had bald patches all over her body, malnourished, and promptly vomited an entire crab leg (complete with shell), and the leaves of a poisonous tree she had ingested because she was starving. We got her to the vet, got her on a recovery diet and gave her lots of love. Throughout everything she was so good-natured and a very pleasant little girl. May is now a beautiful kitten with a sweet, sassy disposition who loves to play, loves people and needs a home. If you are looking for a lap cat, a companion, someone to snuggle with, this is your girl.
