Maxwell's Story
Maxwell is 6 months old and fully vetted. He and his mom, Remi, were made homeless by the Aspen Acres fire. Foster mom describes Max as “a fun-lovin’ guy who will gladly pitch in and help you with any job you need to do; daily chores, special craft projects, whatever. He has no qualms about helping you accomplish your goals in life, usually without needing to be asked! He absolutely LOVES to play and will play with anything. Even his food bowl if it moves freely. He loves bags, wand toys and the toys that move on their own so he can perfect his stalk, catch and kill talents. He is very active in Parkor and can climb a wall in 0.5 second’s flat, bounce down to the floor and back up the wall he goes. He is very energetic but once nap time rolls around, he is the cuddliest kitty on earth. He loves to curl up in the sunshine and soak up the sunrays (no doubt recharging his battery). He gets along with other higher energy cats and has done well with small dogs. When his battery runs down, he loves to be held and loved on. He knows no strangers and loves people.” He’s currently in foster care with 2 quiet, laid back girls, Layla and Lacy. The girls are smaller, younger and far less active than he is and don’t appreciate his energy and exuberant personality. His 2 speeds are fast and faster and that overwhelms the girls. He’d probably overwhelm other kittens as well unless they also run on high octane, but I think he would do well in the cat room. Maxwell is currently acclimating to the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen. Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved you can adopt the cat best suited to you and your home.
