Maxine's Story

Meet Princess Worry-Wort, also known as Maxine. Her little heart has been broken more than once. Twice now, she's lost the person she loved because of illness, and she's once again trying to understand why the home she cherished is gone. It's no wonder she's feeling sad, worried, and unsure.

But beneath that anxious exterior is a gentle girl who simply wants to feel safe again. Give her a little time, and she'll happily melt into a brushing session, lean into your affection, and remind you just how much love she has left to give.

Foster-to-Adopt: Maxine is diabetic, but she does wonderfully with an oral medication mixed into her food--no insulin injections needed. She'll also need occasional ketone checks using a simple dipstick. All Princess Worry-Wort needs is a patient, compassionate person willing to show her that this time, home is forever. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
