Maxie & Nina's Story
Hi... we’re Nina and Maxie. We’re 8-month-old bonded siblings looking for a quiet, loving home where we can grow up together. We’ve been by each other’s side since day one, and we feel safest when we’re snuggled up in a cozy pile of fur.

We’re very shy at first and the shelter can feel big and scary to us. But if you move slowly and speak softly, we’ll let you gently pet us. With a little patience and love, we know we’ll keep getting braver every day. We just need someone willing to give us the time and socialization we didn’t get enough of early on.

Our favorite thing in the world? Curling up together for naps. We groom each other, comfort each other, and remind each other that everything is going to be okay. That’s why we need to be adopted as a pair — we’re each other’s confidence and heart.

We’re still kittens at 8 months old, and we dream of discovering toys, sunny windowsills, and soft beds in a real home. Although the people are great here and service is ok, we don’t want to spend the rest of our kitten days growing up in the shelter. We want to learn what it feels like to truly belong.

If you have a calm home, a gentle touch, and a little patience, we promise to blossom for you. And while we may start out shy, the quiet love of two grateful kitties is something truly special.

If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.

Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.

As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.
