Maxie's Story

Maxie is very friendly with people, highly food‑motivated, and generally easy to handle. He travels calmly in a carrier and does well in the car. He has been coexisting with three resident cats and overall he integrates without major issues. He has been using the litter box without issues, including the Litter Robot.

Maxie first came to me as a stray who began visiting regularly in November. I cared for him outside through November and December. In January, I brought him fully inside and took care of his vet needs. He is FIV-positive but otherwise healthy.

Note: Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a virus that is specific to the cat family and cannot be spread to humans or other animals. FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds, primarily by fighting among unaltered outdoor cats. Casual interactions, such as sharing food bowls, grooming, or general "rough housing" are highly unlikely to transmit the virus.

If you are interested in meeting Maxie please contact Robert Blair by email at blair.rob.j@runbox.com or by phone at 919-805-4135

Note: This pet is not within the Snowflake foster system.
