MAX's Story
Max is a stunning blue-point Himalayan cat with piercing blue eyes who is preparing to celebrate his 15th birthday. He currently weighs approximately 14 lbs. He was adopted from StreetCats in 2013, but his elderly owner passed away, and he was returned to us. He has only lived with an older woman and has never been around other cats, children, or dogs. Max is diabetic and currently takes the oral medication Bexacat once a day. He also takes metronidazole as needed for diarrhea and follows a special diet. Though getting old is tough, Max is not one to complain. He loves to nap in a warm cubby and occasionally walks the halls to check on his other roommates. He enjoys being petted but doesn't seek excessive attention (he will unambiguously let you know when he's had enough). Max has been on hold at Streetcats for a few months while we have gotten his medical issues diagnosed and stabilized. We now feel that it is time to give this loveable senior citizen a second chance at a forever home with a special someone who can keep him healthy and happy.

All cats have tested negative for FeLV/FIV and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. Max has a Home Again microchip, and StreetCats will register it for her new owner. The StreetCats adoption fee is $75; for adopters aged 65 or older, it is $65.

StreetCats is located at 3105 S. Winston Ave. (one block west of 31st & Yale) in Tulsa. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Anyone interested in adopting must visit StreetCats, and all household members must come in as well. We do not adopt out of state and prefer to place pets in the greater Tulsa area.

Our website is www.streetcatstulsa.org, and Facebook is www.facebook.com/streetcatsinc.
