Max's Story
Meet Max
Max is a handsome 1-year-old male with the most adorable markings, including a little white tip on his tail and a white spot on his chest.

Max is SNAP negative, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and has had a negative stool test.

Max has always been an indoor cat. He was originally adopted as a young kitten by a family with young children but was never properly vetted. As he grew, he became very energetic and would chase the children and play too roughly.

Max joined the rescue when he was approximately 9 months old. He was very frightened at first and needed time and patience to feel safe and comfortable. Once he settled in, his real personality began to shine.

And what a personality he has!

Max is an extremely friendly, affectionate lap cat who loves being around his people. He will follow you from room to room, enjoys attention, and can be quite the little conversationalist. He is also young, energetic, curious, and LOVES to play, especially chasing a laser light.

Because Max never really learned appropriate play boundaries as a kitten, he can sometimes become mouthy and play rough. For that reason, we believe he would do best with a cat-savvy adopter who understands young, high-energy cats and can continue teaching him appropriate ways to play.

We recommend a home with older children rather than young children.

Max may also benefit from having the right feline companion. A confident, well-socialized cat who can appropriately establish boundaries could potentially be a great match for him. Any introduction to another cat should be done very slowly and carefully to give both cats the best opportunity to become comfortable with each other. Max LOVES dogs! He wants to hang with his foster dog bros all day!

Max isn't looking for someone who expects a quiet couch potato. He's looking for someone who will appreciate his big personality, give him plenty of interactive play and enrichment, and enjoy having an affectionate little shadow following them around the house.

In return, Max has a tremendous amount of love, companionship, entertainment, and personality to give.

If you're an experienced cat person looking for an affectionate, playful young cat with lots of character, Max may be your guy.
