Maverick

Meet Maverick!

Maverick is a young gray tabby born in 2025 with the cutest stinkin' face you've ever seen and a VERY important announcement to make: IT'S TIME TO EAT! This boy doesn't do cute little meows when he's hungry. No, sir. He unleashes a full-on FOGHORN BLAST, a klaxon-level declaration that the food situation is simply unacceptable and immediate action must be taken. It's a move. But beneath that big voice is a sweet boy who's been on quite the journey to learn that people can be pretty wonderful. After months of slowly settling in at the shelter, Maverick has just recently turned a corner! He's now coming right up to ask for pets, snacks, and attention, and it's been incredibly heartwarming to watch him blossom.

Maverick has never had an indoor home, so he'll need a little help figuring out the ropes. A confident feline friend, either a resident cat or another kitty from the shelter, could be just the buddy he needs to show him the indoor life is actually the CAT'S PAJAMAS! He'll likely be slow to warm up in a new environment, so don't expect instant best-friend status. But we've seen firsthand what happens when Maverick gets time to feel safe! With a quiet, stable home, consistent routines, and a little patience, we think this handsome boy is going to become the sweetest little companion. If you've got room in your home for a work-in-progress with a foghorn voice and a heart that's just beginning to open up, come meet Maverick. Your future best friend might just be yelling for dinner!

Maverick's adoption fee is $130 and includes:

- Neuter surgery
- Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations
- Flea and worm treatment
- Veterinary examination
- A bag of food to get him started in his new home

That's $300–$500 worth of veterinary care and supplies!
