Matthew w/Mickey, Willow Grove (FCID 11/10/22-3)'s Story
Bonded Pair: Matthew and Mickey

Matthew is a charming 3-year-old cat with a heart full of love and a playful sparkle in his eyes. He’s a big fan of belly rubs (yes, really!), and will happily flop over to ask for them whenever you're nearby. When it’s time for fun, Matthew comes alive chasing ping pong balls, toy mice, and his all-time favorite—the laser pointer. He’s quick on his paws and always up for a good play session!

Mickey is a fun-loving 3-year-old cat with energy to spare and a curious heart. He’s always on the move—zooming through his tunnel like a little rocket and batting around his favorite spring toys with wild enthusiasm! One of Mickey’s signature moves is the dramatic flop—right onto his side or back—when he’s hoping for belly rubs or a tasty treat. It’s his not-so-subtle way of saying, “Look how cute I am... now where’s the snack?”

While Mickey has been diagnosed with asthma, feline hyperesthesia, and a grade 2 luxating patella, it's important to note that his asthma is well-managed, and he hasn't required medication for a significant time. The hyperesthesia causes some sensitivity in his tail, leading to grooming and twitching. Currently, he takes an oral medication daily. The grade 2 luxating patella causes his kneecap (patella) to intermittently pop out of the groove in the femur (thigh bone), but can usually be manually pushed back into place. This grade is fairly common and can result in a temporary skipping or lameness when the kneecap dislocates, especially during or after play.

Matthew and Mickey are bonded and MUST be adopted together. Their favorite activities include synchronized window watching, chasing each other through tunnels, and curling up side by side for their daily catnaps. Mickey and Matthew are more than just brothers—they’re best friends. They’re looking for a forever home where they can stay together, bring twice the fun, and fill your life with double the love.

We invite you to watch this short video to see Matthew in action: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sadteL7aIdw.

If you would like to schedule a meet and greet with Mickey and Matthew, please submit our no-obligation application to adopt today: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.
