Matteo N. - VERY GENTLE BOY's Story

If you couldn't tell from his photos, MATTEO is an adorably sweet and gentle-loving boy! MATTEO arrived to us recently and is such a quiet boy. He was abandoned and living on the street under cars. MATTEO immediately took to the other cats, but was nervous to interact with people. However, he has really come out of his shell! He likes to socialize and play with other cats as well as bravely ask for pets from people. He is the most gentle love bug ever! MATTEO is as perfect as can be, even with his positive test for FIV/FeLV.

FIV basically means that his immune system is not as strong as other cats. Cats with FIV can and DO live healthy and long lives! No medication required. Feline leukemia is a cats-only virus. FeLV+ cats can live with other FeLV+ cats or can be solo cats. MATTEO would be thrilled to be in a either a single cat home or one with other + cats! We will be happy to answer all your questions about feline leukemia—these cats can still live long and happy lives with your help!

If you are interested in getting to know more about MATTEO and considering making him part of your family, get a head start by filling out an adoption application. If you are not sure, the Foster-to-Adopt option is a perfect way to assure you are making the right decision.

Apply to adopt MATTEO ---> bit.ly/btcradopt
Apply to foster MATTEO ---> bit.ly/btcrfoster

All Bronx Tails cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia and are litterbox reliable and loving toward people.

We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit and video tour (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full.

GIVE A CHANCE TO THIS ADORABLE, GENTLE, PLAYFUL BOY--APPLY TO ADOPT (OR FOSTER!) MATTEO TODAY!

Bronx Tails Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption fee applies. No cash and carry. Indoor-only homes (screens on all windows). No declawing. Our adoption process is: Find a cat/kitten you like. Fill out an application. We check your references and will do a home visit to ensure a safe environment. An adoption fee is paid when the cat is delivered. We allow an up-to-two week trial period to make sure the cat is the right match for the adopter(s) (especially when there are other pets in the home). After two weeks, we finalize the adoption and deposit the fee. All Bronx Tails cats are spayed/neutered, tested for Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia, given FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, treated for flea eradication, and de-wormed. They are litterbox-reliable and are used to nail trimming. All of these things are included in the adoption fee. If the kitten is too young for surgery at the time of adoption, we will arrange for and take care of these procedures post-adoption; typically when the kitten is between 4-5 months of age.
