MATRI

Hello, I'm Matri and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm a young Mama Cat, but all my kittens are finding their own new homes, so I guess I'll be an empty nester. I was found in a place with lots of other cats and my current foster home has cats too. I don't mind other kitties, we find our balance just fine. The dog here is alright, though I don't let her get too close to me. With dogs, you have to be clear on your boundaries! With people I'm very cautious. Sometimes I like pets and scritches, but most of the time I like my personal space. I do not like being picked up, it scares me. But once I'm familiar with you and feel comfortable I chatter and scold. I love snacks and may just try to sneak a treat off the counter or steal yours right from your hand! I'm looking for a home where I can be given time to settle in. It might take me weeks to feel confident that I'm safe, so I'll need a new family that's patient. I don't know how I feel about young children, but I have been known to sleep with the teenager in my foster home, much to his surprise.
