Maths: Hypotenuse (Hyp) - part of bonded pair's Story
Meet Hypotenuse, Hyp (hip) for short! Hyp is adorable - she has a long gray & white coat with the longest, most precious ear tufts you'll ever see. Hyp makes the most delightful funny faces as she's trying to quantify you. This beautiful floof is ready to solve her equation and derive her very own special forever family! Hypotenuse and her sister, Fibonacci, were picked up during a TNR (trap-neuter-release) effort and due to a lucky variance made their way into foster care. After some careful computations, Hypotenuse has deduced that quiet humans are pretty great. Once she gets to know you, she loves to be pet - cheek rubs, behind the ears, and right along her back to the base of her tail are her favorite spots. She is unbelievably soft, like a cloud! Her quiet purr will get going with some biscuit making and you can see how happy she is! Hyp isn't a fan of being picked up for cuddles, but with time and just the right person, perhaps she will be someday. Hyp loves to play with her sister, Fibonacci, and her foster mom. She likes the wand toy best and will adorably stand up on her hind legs to form a triangle with herself, the floor and toy so she can bat at it! Hyp would like a forever family with older, respectful children or adults only who will understand the space and time she needs and love her just for that! Hyp loves her sister, Fibonacci, they are the best of buddies, they play together, sleep together, groom each other and would love to go home together. Let's help Hyp solve her equation and isolate her perfect forever family!

As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive. They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc). Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog.

While, it is always wonderful to adopt kittens in pairs, sometimes it is imperative that ones go together when they need each other for their own well-being, in order to feel safe or secure. Bonded kittens need this desperately, but they also teach each other about acceptable play and keep each other company so you don't have to worry about them being lonely.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
