Maths: Fibonacci (Fib) - part of bonded pair's Story

Meet Fibonacci, Fib for short! Fib is magnificent - she has a long black & white coat with chocolate brown spiraled into her black. The Fibonacci Sequence is often attributed to beauty in nature and you can certainly see Fib lives up to her name! She has the cutest nose spots and will show them off by tilting her head at a 90 degree angle when you talk to her, she's listening so hard. This beautiful floof is ready to solve her equation and derive her very own special forever family! Fibonacci and her sister, Hypotenuse, were picked up during a TNR (trap-neuter-release) effort and due to a lucky variance made their way into foster care. Fibonacci is still calculating her feelings about humans - through careful computations she's determined she loves playing with them, especially with a wand toy, enough to jump, chase, roll & bat the toy. She also thinks eating treats from hands is pretty awesome, she'll lick your fingers for those last few crumbs. However, so far she's deduced humans are not to pet her (even though she looks so cuddly!). Given how close she'll get, she'll lay down next to her foster mom to play, hopefully with time and just the right person, she could get there. Fib would like a forever family with older, respectful children or adults only who will understand the space and time she needs and love her just for that, even if she never wants pets! Fib loves her sister, Hypotenuse, they are the best of buddies, they play together, sleep together, groom each other and would love to go home together. Let's help Fib solve her equation and isolate her perfect forever family!

As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive. They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc). Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog. Fib and Hyp will absolutely benefit the most by being together. While, it is always wonderful to adopt kittens in pairs, sometimes it is imperative that ones go together when they need each other for their own well-being, in order to feel safe or secure. Bonded kittens need this desperately, but they also teach each other about acceptable play and keep each other company so you don't have to worry about them being lonely.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.

Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue's Adoption Policy
We require all potential adopters to complete an online form. Once received, we review in entirety. We then contact your vet and verify provided information. We will check references, and we contact your landlord, if you rent. Once we have completed the checks, we schedule a virtual visit interview so that we can get to know you and your family and so that you can visit with the kitty in an environment in which they feel safe to see how they may fit into your home and ask any questions of their foster. If everything checks out and we all agree on which cat the adopter is interested in, we set an adoption date based on the cat's status. On or just before adoption da, we send out our contract and medical records to the adopter. We ask that payment is either via Paypal, check, or cash.
