***Mateo's Story
Meet Mateo:

Mateo has been waiting patiently for nearly a year to have a family of his own. Mateo is a bit on the shy side, and has a fear of carriers, which makes it hard for him to get out and meet new people. He keeps to himself around strangers, sometimes by hiding and at other times by sitting as still as a statue and watching new people from afar. But once he gets to know you, he can turn on the charm and become such a lovebug. He loves to be scratched behind his ears and stroked down his back. He’s not much for laps but will happily sit next to you and keep you company. Give him a jingle ball or a catnip mouse and he will turn back into a kitten, batting his new toys from one end of the house to the other. With some patience and understanding, Mateo could easily become a favorite member of your household.
