Matcha, gentle cat buddy's Story

Matcha (25-109)
Male
10 months
Neutered. Utd on vax, fiv/felv neg/neg
Loving and curious, feels very secure with a friend

Matcha is a long-overlooked big kidden who arrived on August 26th with Tofu and his brother Mochi (who have since gone home!)

You will have to look for Matcha when you visit. He's currently in the Rumpus Room along with Carrot, Yam, & and Jagger, usually on the top shelf or in some other quiet cubby. He will also be frequently caught snuggling and grooming his buddies.

Matcha would be a good cat for intellectuals, I think! He is an avid reader and pioneered the first book club at the pound (which is sure to also be the last book club at the pound due to lack of interest...)

But I do enjoy our conversations about various books we have both read! He enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and we had a spirited discussion about moral growth, prejudice and empathy...but also he was disappointed that it was not about actual mockingbirds because he was expecting it to be more of a "how to" kind of book...

Just think of the hours you could pass reading and discussing books with Matcha! And even though he is an introvert, he does get along fine with his other Rumpus Roommates!
Here is the online pre-adopt form! Quick and easy, please include all info:

https://jefferson.seamlessdocs.com/f/preadopt

Bring your own bookmark 🙂

**Matcha, like all of our other cats, is indoor ONLY.
The average life span of an outdoor feral is two years. Outdoor cats are subject to these same elements and risk a distressing death.
Please speak with Kim, the shelter manager and the town's ACO, for more information regarding this.
