Mary-Kate's Story

Mary-Kate is a very skilled herbalist. She forages all kinds of things, but her favorite thing to pick is catnip. Sure, it's usually growing on people's front yards and porches, but as long as it's outside, it's obviously free to take. She also likes to help us with our garden out back, but sometimes when we go to check on it, half the produce is missing. We think she might be selling it to make an extra buck. Mary-Kate would be the purrrfect kitty in a quiet home as an only kitty or with other cats that are more chill.

Want to bring a little black cat magic into your home? Binx's Home for Black Cats, Co.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters can view our adoptable cats and kittens on our website and can then submit an adoption application on our website. Our adoption coordinator processes all applications within 24-48 hours. A phone interview is conducted with the potential adopter and either an approval or denial is issued after that. If approved, the adopter then pays the adoption fee on our website and schedules a time to pick up their new kitty. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that we are a foster-based organization, we do not allow visitation with our foster cats and kittens prior to adoption. While this policy is in place to protect our foster parents from exposure, we understand that potential adopters need to spend time with the kitties before they feel comfortable adopting. In order to ensure that the chosen cat or kitten fits well into your family, we highly suggest a foster-to-adopt agreement. This allows pre-screened, potential adopters to get to know the cat or kitten in their own home prior to finalizing the adoption. Fostering not only allows you to see your potential new family member thrive in a home environment but it also saves lives and prevents adoption returns. All cats and kittens come with a copy of their medical records to share with your vet.
