Meet Mary Elizabeth
My name is Mary Elizabeth.
I am quiet and calm. I have a soft purr which makes it hard for a veterinarian to check my heart. I tolerate other cats but do not proactively engage with them. I prefer to watch. My favorite toy a small soft ball. I make triple noises when I play with it but most of the time I just stalk it. I like to be high on cat tree or on a comfortable high chair. I enjoy looking out the window and being stroked slowly on the top of my head. I tolerate being picked up but am not a lap kitty. I look forward to seeing my people and being with them. I greet them at the door when it is feeding time :-) I am not a high maintenance kitty but I am a little quirky.
I had a litter of kittens at a very young age. I was a very good mom and auntie. I have a weepy eye issue from an eye infection that went untreated when I was homeless. It has been treated with drops and tear duct flushing. I have been to an eye specialist and it is just something I have to live with. My foster mom wipes my eyes everyday and my veterinarian watches it. I just something that I have learned to live with it. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, deflea and dewormed. I am looking for a quiet household with a patient cat person.
If you are looking for a calm companion and are ready for a commitment, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website.
