Marv (bonded with Harriet)'s Story
**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Marv and Harriet are true brother and sister of the heart, and must go home together.

Marv is one of 3 long-haired kittens of his litter. He has similar grey patches on a white coat like Harriet, but distinguishes himself with a spot on his right cheek and a soul patch under his chin. Very handsome indeed!

Marv starts off as super shy at first encounter with a new space and people. He feels the safest if he has a quiet, calm place to decompress and watch the actions first, before coming out at his own pace to actively interact. It will be worth the wait for Marv to come to you willingly for hands-on affection, as he loves pets more than anything and once you start, he will be glued to your side, purring like a little motorboat every time. Finding the right spot to scratch will instantly put Marv into a blissful state, and he will collapse happily in your arms, flipping over to show his belly as an absolute sign of trust and love. Even if you are not aware of their presence, Marv and Harry are more than likely to be perched on chairs or couches close by, waiting for opportunities to cuddle, or simply just be.

Marv loves string and fishing rod style toys and will chase and play to his hearts content for as long as you are willing to play, and then bring the toy over to cuddle with you afterwards.

This adorable, soft and sweet cat would thrive in a quiet home with sister Harriet as a companion, and with owners who are home a lot. Once imprinted on their humans, Marv and Harry devote themselves wholeheartedly to making their people feel loved and needed. If you feel the same connection, come take them home soon!

Would you like to make Marv and Harriet a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
