Marty's Story

What do you name a kitten found at Walmart when you aren't sure it is a girl or boy? If you guessed Marty, you are right. Marty is a male brown nose tabby born kids June 2023. Still wary of human touch but once you have him in your arms, he purrs and enjoys being petted. With those he knows and trusts, he begs to be picked up for hugs. Very playful and loves the fuzzy worm wand toy. If the cat is under the age of 9 months old or has heath issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $110. covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. LowCountry Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

We have adoption events (location varies-see below) every Saturday from 1-4. Not all of the dogs attend so please email ahead of time if there is one in particular you would like to meet. Also, a pre-approved application is required in order to adopt from the event so please email for an application. We also try to adopt locally first (tricounty area). Out of area adoptions are a case by case basis. If you would like to adopt a dog under the age of three, you must have a current pet or a previous pet in the last 10 years. Cats under the age of 1 year also require a vet reference.
