Marshmallow ~feral turned friendly needs you! <br/><br/>Docile & affectionate <br/>Melts into your lap <br/>Just wants love <br/><br/>This amazing,sweet girl did what most feral cats don’t do and upon her release after medical care and a spay, instead of running back to her cat friends, she ran to the human and rubbed on her legs.<br/><br/>She decided she was done with rough outdoor life! <br/><br/>Marshmallow was part of TNR work but gave birth to 4 kittens before she was trapped. <br/><br/>She was trapped and stayed in a foster humans garage happily raising her babies in a catio. She is only about 1.5 yrs old and was the sweetest mom to her babies! <br/><br/>During this time of being safe and associating good things with humans, she became more social and friendly. <br/><br/>Her babies were brought inside at 8 weeks to learn indoor life and Marshmallow chilled out in the catio as she got used to eating in the trap again so she could be trapped, spayed and released. <br/><br/>She stayed social during these 2 weeks of trying to trap her again. Her foster started using an extended scratcher to safely give her petting and slowly get her used to being touched. Her foster also started to slowly expose her to dogs. <br/><br/>Through all of this work, patience and time… Marshmallow is ready to be loved in a home and gaze out the window instead of trying to survive on the other side of it. <br/><br/>She is looking forward to snuggling up on a blanket during chilly fall days instead of finding a place to warm up.<br/><br/>She is looking forward to her first Christmas and having a stocking full of catnip toys and treats instead of trying not to freeze. <br/><br/>This sweet girl is laid back, easygoing, docile and gentle. <br/><br/>She will do well with other cats, even bossy ones. She will be okay with calm dogs that help her feel safe and will not chase her. <br/><br/>All she needs is a quiet room that can be her safe space at first while she decompresses and adapts to being somewhere new with new sounds, smells and people. This room can be her anchor as she slowly learns about the rest of the home and other people or pets. <br/><br/>Realistically settling in will take 1-3 months ( possibly more). She needs a human who won’t put pressure or time lines on her but instead allow her to settle in at her pace in a positive way without forcing her to just adjust. <br/><br/>With this approach, she will thrive in a home. She just needs that hero adopter with a kind, supportive heart that welcomes her in. <br/><br/>Marshmallow is being fostered in a catio for now and hopes to pack up her toys and treats and move in with you! <br/><br/>Inquire and fill out an application. <br/>Her foster mom would love to tell you more about her! <br/><br/>Love spills out of this kitty ~ can you be her happy ending?
