Marquino's Story

Meet Marquino, a dashing adult boy cat with striking black-and-white (or is it white-and-black?) markings that change depending on the angle. This reserved gentleman may be a bit shy at first, but with patience and gentle care, he transforms into an affectionate and social sweetheart.

Once Marquino feels comfortable, you’ll be greeted by his adorable meows and cheerful chirps, particularly when chatting with other cats. He’s also not shy about coming up to people for attention, melting hearts with his quiet charm and loving personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion to share your home, Marquino is ready to meet you!

If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
