Marnie's Story

Meet Marnie! (Fondly known at her foster home as Veeta)

Marnie came from a local colony, scared, and sick. Originally, we thought she would be released to her colony, so when she was spayed, she was also ear tipped. After surgery, recovery, tlc, lots of food, and some patience, we knew Marnie just needed time to shine in a foster home! ?? Marnie presented with some hesitation towards humans, and after some quiet time and human bonding, she turned quite the corner. She was evaluated, and we discovered she had two broken ribs that had healed before her rescue. This girl is so young and has been through so much in her 6 months of life! Marnie earned the name "Veeta" after the popular cheese, Velveeta, because when she finally chooses you to pet her she melts like cheese and flops to the ground ? This little girl is a beautiful dilute calico/tabby with incredible gold eyes. She has been raised with a pug, 2 teens, and 3 other adult cats. She would do wonderful with a cat her age to frolick with. She loves to chase the cat laser, snuggle the dog, sleep on your feet, and be where the people are. Quite the social yet independent butterfly after she is comfortable and introduced properly. Please consider giving this girl a forever home. She would do well with a person being home often and in a quiet, low traffic home. When Marnie gets stressed, she can flare up with a cold. It's best to continue her on a cat supplement called L-Lysine to support her upper respiratory system. Despite her quirks, we promise she's incredible once you get to know each other.

If you would like to adopt Marnie, please fill out an application on our website at www.fofcats.com and email to applications@fofcats.com
