Marni's Story
Marni is ready for her forever home! Marni has been in and out of homes for the past few years and is ready to finally settle down somewhere she can live out the rest of her senior years comfortably. Marni is part of our animal hospital's late owner non-profit senior cat rescue called The Forever Foundation that sponsors relinquished seniors cats' medical care for the rest of their lives. She was unfortunately returned to us last year and has been living at our hospital ever since. She's had a couple home trials that weren't the right fit but she's ready for a place she can call her own. We adore her here and want her to find a permanent home that will love her just as much as we do.
A little about Marni: she is a highly independent and curious cat that will follow you throughout the house and be your little shadow. She definitely marches to the beat of her own drum and prefers to be on her own wandering around and watching what her people are up to. She loves rubbing up on legs and loves a good head pat/ scritches every now and then. She doesn't mind calmer dogs around her and perhaps a cat that won't bother her too much but ultimately she may be happiest on her own. She has been bounced around from home to home so she does take a while to warm up to new people and environments but this is understandable given her history. Once she trusts you, she will become your shadow and loyal companion.
Marni is special needs as she has some form of IBD and occasionally has stomach issues however we are managing her symptoms with a prescription diet and occasional probiotics. She gets bloodwork and ultrasounds done regularly and besides occasional stomach upset, everything else is normal. All her medical care and prescription food will be covered for the rest of her life so long as she gets seen by our doctors and gets her food and medications at our hospital.

If you are interested in meeting our lovely lady and seeing if she'll be the right fit for you, you can call us at (310)326-0000 to set up a meet and greet or you can email clientservices@westernvetgroup.com. If you message this account directly it may take a little longer for a response but I will check my emails regularly!

Please give this girl a chance! The staff loves her so much and we would all love nothing more than to see Marni go to a loving home that will just allow her to live comfortably outside of a cage for the rest of her years.
