Marmalade (Bonded to Oliver)'s Story
Looking for a rare, visually imperfect sweetheart companion, or the ultimate sweet but shy, gentle pair?

Meet Marmalade and Oliver (Olie)—two unique cats who balance each other in the quietest, sweetest ways.

Marmalade is a physically small, rare ginger-yellow girl (only 20% of ginger cats are female!) with a perfectly imperfect right eye. Born with a flap of skin covering it, shes had surgery and now sees just fine—though her right eye will always look a little different. That difference doesnt stop her from being curious, playful, and loving—just overlooked. :-(

Shes a gentle soul who will seek you out for affection, as long as you move at her pace. She loves petting and delights in play—but her confidence is still blooming. She can be picked up, but she's not used to it yet. In her current foster home, shes one of many cats and sits low in the social hierarchy. What she really needs is a quieter home, fewer animals, and a patient human (or two) to help her feel secure and loved. Clicker training with treats could also help her blossom further.

She tends to hang around another foster cat named Oliver. Tall, lean, confident, and mellow, Oliver has a quirky charm all his own—most notably, his habit of sitting upright on his tailbone like a person! Rescued from the streets as a kitten, Olie was nearly adopted before his would-be family had to move overseas to care for a terminally ill family member. Please view his own Petfinder page for more details.
https://www.petfinder.com/cat/oliver-olie-75324786/ca/beverly-hills/the-deleon-foundation-ca3168/

Although Marmalade enjoys Oliver's company at times, the reality is that they may have to be adopted separately into permanent loving homes rather than remain in their multi-cat temporary foster home. Adopted in a pair or separately, the most important aspect is that she has her own human family to focus on her and any other animals in the home won't bully her.
