Marmalade's Story

Meet Marmalade! This big, handsome boy was found wandering Hudson County Park in North Bergen in September. When we brought him to the vet, we learned he was already neutered but not microchipped, and unfortunately no owner ever came forward.

Marmalade weighs about 18 lbs and needs a home that can support his journey to a healthier lifestyle. With the right environment—lots of play, indoor activity, enrichment, and a wet food–only diet—he’ll thrive and shed some of that extra fluff.

Despite his size, Marmalade is still young at heart! At just 2 years old, he’s playful, curious, and ready to be part of a family who will keep him entertained and loved. He deserves a forever home where he can get the attention, structure, and affection he craves.

Marmalade has also shown that he does well with other cats and kids when given proper, slow introductions, making him a great fit for a variety of household types.

Ideal Home:
• A family or individual who can commit to interactive play and daily activity
• A home that will keep him strictly indoors
• Someone willing to stick to his healthy diet and help him slim down
• A household willing to follow proper introduction protocols if there are other pets or children

If you’re looking for a sweet, chonky companion who will bring joy, cuddles, and laughter into your life, Marmalade might just be your perfect match!

Apply to adopt Marmalade today and help him start his new chapter!
