Marlynn's Story

Hi, my name is Marlynn. I am a 1-year-old, female, gray and brown tabby cat. I was abandoned by my first family; they took me to a kill shelter. Purring Hearts rescued me and has given me another chance on life. I was pretty reserved at first because of all that I have gone through, but I am ready to find my new family now! I am a sweet girl with a non-stop purr and a primary focus on having you pet me! I love being close to my human and following them around, curling up with them and making blanket biscuits, flopping over for pets, and talking at you when you are not petting me (or I want to ask for pets). When I'm not following you around, I can be found curled up taking a nap in a cat bed or sunny spot. Since I'm out of the kitten stage, my personality has settled, and I am content entertaining myself or being alone for longer stretches of time. I do enjoy playing and have taken to string toys, and have a more "pounce and tussle" play style with lots of "bunny kicking." So, I like larger toys that I can grab and kick. I've been around other cats, but I haven't reacted well to them. So, I would prefer to be an only cat. I have not been introduced to kids or dogs yet. I am spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip. If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please click on the following link to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.purringheartsva.org and a volunteer will reach out to you within 72 hours. I hope to hear from my forever family soon!
